If you are in Network Marketing and have found any level of success, people will beg you for the recipe for the secret sauce for what is working. I can’t vouch for everyone, but I think really the answer people are looking for is this- what is going to get me the best and fastest results with the smallest amount of rejection and the least amount of effort.
I teach how to find inevitable success, not instant success. I also see how there is great appeal to look for ways that don’t involve getting told NO by other humans. The only way to avoid that I would say is to become a DOG Whisperer. I am maybe the Network Marketing Whisperer instead, and that means you need to at least whisper to people about your product, service, or opportunity.
But I get it – I am writing my blog here on how to prospect people instead of actually going out and prospecting people. In my defense I did some reach outs and I did some follow ups and my numbers for this week were decent- BUT it’s exhausting talking to real humans. Here, blogging in the basement at 1 am when the whole human race is asleep and just one cat is still showing signs of life, that has it’s appeal.
Really, though it doesn’t have to be this mysterious mystical thing. It’s not a magic touch that gets everyone knocking down your door. It’s like a billboard – if you put a billboard on a dead end street and have big oak trees blocking it’s view, you aren’t going to get a lot of people reading your sign. And if they don’t read it, or can’t read it, or don’t know it’s there- you are not going to get anyone reaching out to you. If you put it in along a busy highway, some will read it and reach out to you, some will keep driving, some will be on their phones and barely pay attention to the road let alone what your sign says.
To get success, you need people looking at your billboard, and better yet, if you have multiple billboards in multiple locations, you will get more eyes on your prize. And with network marketing, when you add a consultant to your team and teach them how to introduce what you have to others, then it’s like putting up another bill board.
Maybe the one way to look at network marketing is it’s like your opportunity is a billboard, but they have to choose to read it first. IF you just put a billboard in front of their car, blocking their drive, yes they will read it. BUT they likely will be upset and they may hit the accelerator and drive right through your message standing in the way.
Best answer to avoid that response is to first just see if people are open to look at what you have- and if they are OPEN, then ask if they can watch a video NOW that will explain it a whole lot better than you can- and then after they watched it, ask what they liked best- and after you can sign them up or get them to a 3-way call or message if they aren’t ready to join- and then follow up if they didn’t end up with a decision!
The secret is takes consistent activity to build a pipeline getting people to look at your “billboard”, and also understanding that if you don’t know if someone is OPEN or not, they are at position ZERO in this business. Something else you need is posture to do this business. If you were to insult my KIDS and call them funny looking, I wouldn’t say- “I guess you are right- he is kind of ugly. We are embarrassed of him ourselves. Sorry I even showed him to you.” No!!! You defend your kids. That is POSTURE. I defend network marketing and my business the same way- with posture.
I don’t care what your broke brother in law says. Networking marketing works- if you work it.

If you want tips-
IF you got NO response from someone you messaged 4 days ago – then your only goal is to get them to say anything to spark a conversation!!
Try this on for size-
“Hey Tim, sorry been so crazy busy I didn’t get to follow up with you. How are you?”
Just get them responding-
If they respond use common sense after and have a conversation.
And see if they had a chance to see what you sent – many times they will say something.
Many many times they were just busy – so don’t assume you were rejected-
Everyone is BUSY but everyone wants to save or make extra money.
If after 30 days you can then message them what is called a TAKE AWAY- Let’s look at my company where we negotiate on people’s bills.
“Hey John based on our previous conversation this seems like it might not be a fit for you- no worries- but we just saved Chad $400 on his car insurance with better coverage and we just saved John $600 on his Spectrum bill.
Who do you know that would like our help lowering their essential bills?”
John may well respond, with – “Hey, I would like to SAVE! What is this you have again?”
People with NO influence and NO support of friends and family have become 6-7 figure earners consistently following a cold message script and following up with people as shown above!
