What is the best program to save on your prescription meds?

Have you ever had to pay full price for a prescription at a Chain Drug Store? It’s almost as bad as buying something at Kohl’s when it’s not on sale and you don’t have a magic 30% off scratch off coupon and $20 in Kohl’s cash.

Many have insurance, but many don’t – and today a lot of plans have $5,000 deductibles anyway and more and you may never even see your insurance kick in until December 28th, and then it’s time for a new deductible.

So for many, they pay $500 / month for insurance they can’t afford to use if they had to use it anyway. It doesn’t seem fair.

A good back up plan is a very good idea today. Especially a FREE one.

What is your plan if you get a prescription that you can’t afford? Doctors used to have tons of samples. They don’t any more. Your medication may come generic, but often that may not always make it affordable.

Have you heard of RxSpark?

It won’t guarantee every med you are prescribed is affordable, but it may help. A lot. And because it’s NOT insurance you can use it WITH your insurance or INSTEAD of your insurance.

It’s a FREE (There’s that word again) Prescription Drug Program that I am recommending for anyone who is interested in saving some money on their prescriptions.

If you have a high deductible, it may be worth it to see what you would pay for your generic meds when using it.

If something isn’t covered if you do have good insurance- say a cough medicine, Vitamin D 50,000, a nasal spray, whatever, this is a great back up option.
If you are traveling out of state, and they don’t take your insurance, this is a great back up.

The above comparison shows the differences between the programs.

You will also earn rewards points every time you use it for your meds (so make sure your pharmacy doesn’t try to “Switch you” to their store discount program if they have one! You won’t get the loyalty points!) – and you get 500 points just for registering with RxSpark,. If you want to earn Reward Points every time you use the program, and every time your referred friends and family use the program, again please share my link with anyone interested in saving on their prescriptions.
