IS Network Marketing a SCAM? Or did you just get the wrong expectations for success?

MANY folks think that Network Marketing is a scam because so few make serious money.

However, the truth is in ANY SALES business most don’t stick with it enough to see real results.

ALL SALES businesses have a similar downward “Funnel” effect-

Look at Real estate for an example of this-

In a given year, over a million folks dream of successfully selling homes and earning the big commissions that a realtor can earn.

In a typical year-

700,000 went and bought the material for the real estate exam.

116,000 paid to take the exam.

50,000 passed the exam

and

37,000 actually sold a home. How many actually sold a 2nd home? How many turned this into a full time career? How many were back to their 9-5 office job within a year, back dreaming about leaving their jobs, yet again.

Of that 37,000, only a percentage of that went on to support their families full time as a realtor.

Does that mean it’s a scam? Of course not.

No, it means it’s PAID per PERFORMANCE, and most don’t hang in there to get the results they dreamed about.

In network marketing, it’s the same thing. The difference here though is that I think the expectations are not rightly addressed. We so much want success that we lower the bar and say anyone can do it, and we don’t want to turn people away so we promise get rich quick and that it will be easy. Also, the BAR is much lower to enter- you don’t have to pass any big tests to get in, and when it’s easy to get in, it’s also easy to get out.

It’s NOT “NOT-WORK” marketing. It WORKS, but you have to work it. You have to treat it like the legit business it is.

In the ones I support, you can be like a “realtor” and do it all yourself and earn legit income, even full-time income if you put reasonable time and effort in- and if you are COACHABLE and HUNGRY.

And you can instead be like the real estate agent who spends the bulk of his or her time to train other agents to work under them and their main emphasis is training others and building a team.

Neither is easy, but it might make more sense in the Network Marketing realm to at least learn the basics of learning how to gather customers yourself and earn a nice side income, say of $500-1000/month. That is very possible if you stay consistent and persistent, and once you have that down, you can help a few others earn that much as well – and you earn commissions from your team who you train and your efforts. And when you can afford to cut down on your hours, you can then devote more time to developing your team and growing your own business.

One challenge of network marketing is when you try and recruit others to “sell houses” and you promise how easy it is to “sell houses” and you expect everyone in your family to go and “sell houses” YET all your time is spent recruiting others to sell houses and you haven’t sold a single house yourself. If your comp plan kicks in after you sell your “10 houses” then at least do the bare minimum and work to get your 10 and then you can help find a few others to get their 10 and you are legitimately following the system. Most of network marketing doesn’t work because you won’t.

It’s not easy. But no other business can you run everything from your cell phone and not have inventory or have to buy an LLC or INC. or hire a team or do business development etc. The pharmacy I manged took $400,000 in funds just to get it off the ground. A new parking lot cost $30,000 or so. The phone bill for a business is huge, getting 2-3 lines for the internet for our computers was $2000 or so. Plus we had to buy phones!

In network marketing, your business gives you the training, you grow as you go, learn as you earn, and have a legit business for $30-500 down and $10-200/month, without all the costs of a traditional business. If you can appreciate the FLEXIBILITY and AFFORDABILITY and not jump ship the second someone says, “that must be a scam! I paid $400,000 for my business and didn’t even get a phone!”, you can have success!!!

That is why you can do one on the side while you have a full time job. Anyone can do it, but MOST won’t stick it out. Just like most who dream of selling a home won’t as well.

And the training of joining a Network Marketing Business will give you the mindset for success which will have a positive impact on your current situation and current job.

It’s a true win win.

And people knock it because more than likely, they had someone introduce them to one who promised them the world, and they didn’t properly align their expectations. So now, it has a bad taste in their mouths.

I instead without apology say, Network Marketing is maybe the BEST BUSINESS MODEL out there!!!!! Give it a REAL GO! If you want to check out the one I am doing – click on my link here – https://mikethepharmacist.shareviv.com/
